Busy Sunday

We had two events to attend today. Coca-Cola Company's new Distribution Centre's Opening Ceremony in the morning and Auckland Food Show later! So we left home early to avoid having trouble finding carpark at work. We ended up being one of the first people to arrive there.

Huge sugar silo to make drinks. From an unamed source, the silo gets refilled four times a day during summer.

A small section of our humungous Distribution Centre.

One of our friend's kids said the clown looked like Heath Ledger... I'll be worry if Heath looked like that.. seriously...

Clock striked 11am and the gate opened. Firstly we went to Production to see how the robots does their job.

Empty bottles were rinsed before soft drinks were filled.

Noticed the change of colour from left to right as soft drink were poured into the bottles.

And the change of water level when drinks were poured into the bottles from left to right.

Bottles of Coke..

And bottles and bottles and bottles and... of Coke.

Now to the Cans.

Pallets and pallets of Coke cans waiting to be delivered to our lucky customers.

There were big crowds and children entertainments were organised to keep kids busy.

'Tha Balloon Pumper, Twister and Shaper'. He must be good at pumping up stuff after many events of practice.

"Hey Mr. Cock and Mr. Dunno What You Are. Look! I can pump this wee skinny thing into a big long fat stuff and better still, shape it into something!". Mr. Cock and Mr. Dunno What You Are looked at the 'thing', amused..

Face painting. Meaow~

Like that whip and how you cracked it Sir. Hit me baby one more time~

I wouldn't go near that creature myself too..

Food were supplied by caterer and each of us were given a coupon so that no one are able to scoff like pigs.

One filled roll, two sausage sizzlers, two ice creams, two drinks

Our Prime Minister suposed to be there at about 12.20pm to 'open' the Opening Ceremony so waited for her while entertained by a band called 'Spacifix' that sang their hit songs that I was not familiar of.. (where is Kenny Rogers?)

Love the fro bro

'Sunday Afternoon Fever' featuring Spacifix

As our Prime Minister was too busy running the country than be at the ceremony on scheduled time, we got bored of waiting. So we decided to say tata (sayonara) to Coke..

And moved on to our next main even: THE FOOD SHOW!!

There were so many people at the show, one Chinese proverb would describe this situation perfectly: People Mountain People Sea. Lots and lots of food tasting, wine and beer drinking, chocolate indulging, you name it!

'Wheel Of Fortune' at the show!

I'm hungry now~

My smile is nicer than the food!

Hey how bout me?! Are you NOT going to take a photo of me?

"Girls, I'm like.. so over both of you.. totally~" said the lady on the right

"Settle down ladies" I said. Let me have a photo of all of you and be a happy family. Muchas Gracias

Apart from food, there were a few celebrities at the show too!

Peta Mathias, our very own Kiwi Ceebrity Chef

And guess who we met?! Joe Cotton, a dear friend of ours and of course, a celebrity herself. She was actually working at the food show, interviewing people for a TV Channel C4 and she got us onto it! The topic of the interview, interestingly, was 'Food & Sex'. It was a fun and hilarious 5 minutes interview. We all had a great laugh. Guess we'll be on TV too! Oh! Does that makes us celebrity with 5 minutes worth of fame and publicity?! I am a Star. Piss off.

Me and Joe!

Joe and Craig. Both are celebrities in my mind~

And Mr. Paul Holmes was there advertising his self-branded Paul Holmes Mana Lodge Olive Oil. We managed to interupt his conversation with one of his mate for a couple of photos.

Craig and Paul

Me and Paul!!

We had a great time at the show and eat our heart out. I must have put on few more pounds after the show. Must get onto my exercise regime (since when?) to burn off the extra rolls on my already big puku (tummy in Maori).

We were buggered when we got home. Been a long but fantastic day. Oh and one last thing..

HAPPY 8th YEAR ANNIVERSARY CRAIG, MY LOVE, MY WIFE (Oops!) Nope sorry, MY HUBBY!! Love you long time hun~
