Proud to be a Malaysian!
Malaysia Flag
31st August is commonly known as Hari Merdeka (Independence Day) in Malaysia. Although many thought that this is the day of the formation of 'Malaysia' but in reality, Malaysia didn't exist after Sarawak and Sabah joined The Federation Of Malaya on 16th September 1963.
However National Day celebration is still held on August 31, the original independence date of Malaya.
Picture shown above is Malaysia first Prime Minister Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj announced the independence of Malaya from the British on August 31, 1957 at Stadium Merdeka.
Most years, a new theme and logo were made to celebrate this special day. And this year's is: Perpaduan Teras Kejayaan (Unity Is The Core of Success)
So to all Malaysian, Happy 51st Hari Kebangsaan!!

Almost weekend
There is this place where we hang out 'every' Friday night after work.. more of like Saturday in the wee hours of the morning. It is called Kang Nam Station, a Korean restaurant located at the corner of Mayoral Drive and Queens Street in Auckland City.
The reason we go there during that time of the week is not because they are one of the few places that open and serves cooked meals after midnight, their meals are delicious. I haven't been to alot of Korean restaurant myself but I certainly like this one.
Staff are friendly and offer a great service. All we have to do is walk in and place our order... oh apart from self-service free water! And I guess because we go there so often, staff in the restaurant have got to know us quite well and really make an effort to make us feel comfortable and welcome.
Most of their meals are averaged at about NZD10.00. With the main dish comes with 4 - 5 side dishes and all of the side dishes are refillable with no extra charge at all! Bargain!!
We ordered three meals. After a full-on busy week, this is the time to unwind and relax. So forget about my strict diet and pig out.. oh did I say diet? Who's on diet..
Sun Du Bu Jji Gae with rice (a thick spicy stew made with soft tofu with egg and a bit of seafood) NZD10.00
Gal Bi Go Gi with rice (pork cooked on a metal plate with onion, carrot and sprinkles of sesame seeds) NZD10.00
Gun Man Du with some kind of sauce (fried dumplings filled with thinly chopped meat, vegies and rice vermicelli) NZD10.00
Ban Chan (side dishes that are refillable at no extra costs)
Quite surprisingly of all the Ban Chan, Kim Chi (fermented vegetables, usually Bae Chu (Napa cabbage), seasoned with chilly peppers and salt) is not served most of the time when we were there. Maybe because they are so popular that people keep refilling and by the time we got there it was all gone..
Apparently Kim Chi is the essential Ban Chan of a standard Korean meal. Some Koreans do not consider a meal complete without Kim Chi. Oh well we are not Korean so not too fuss about it. A dear Korean girl friend of mine knows where to get the best Kim Chi so if I ever feel like having some good Kim Chi I can always turn to her~
An example of how Kim Chi looks like
Next week, the week after, and after the week after, we will still go there for dinner/supper. Having trouble sleeping? You can find us there, 1am at Kang Nam Yok (Station).

Gay pub
Naval & Family Bar is Auckland's newest, probably the only hot gay pub located at the corner of Pitt Street and Karangahape Road. Being a Monday night, there isn't much happening at the bar. Perfect time to go and have a quiet drink or two.
Historical building, Naval & Family Hotel
To our surprise, the bar doesn't look anything gay at all. It has a very relaxing atmosphere with nice soft retro music playing at the background.
Very impressive bar
Quiet Monday night
Even a pool table for blokes to test their ball skill...
Wall of Fames
No I don't drink...
As shown in the photos, inside the pub is a very 'red light' area but ironically it actually makes the whole pub look very classy. Well, red is my favourite colour but I'm not using that as an excuse.
Bring a few blokes down to the pub an have a drink or two.
Let's all be friendly and gay.

Daffodil Day
Our annual Daffodil Day is here again. This year it falls on the 29th August Friday. This event is the annual flagship of New Zealand Cancer Society and it is one of the most important event for this society to raise cancer awareness and fundraising campaign in this country.
Daffodil flower is used as a symbol is because it is one of the first flowers that bloom in spring. The bright yellow colour of the flower symbolized hope for all the people effected by cancer and also reminds us the joy that the new season will bring.
From next week onwards there will be ample of volunteers roaming the streets around the country collecting donations. Some businesses will also have display boxes lying around in offices which holds fabric daffodils and cash compartment to attract donations from staffs. Merchandises are also available to purchase.
Serviettes from Robert Harris Coffee Roasters
People can even make an instant $20 donation by dialing 0900 311 11, which will automatically be charged to their telephone account. For those who love to use cell phones for absolutely anything, donation from cell phone is also acceptable - simply text "dday" to 883 to make an instant $3 donation. Texts donation can be sent from Telecom and Vodafone cell phones. Or donations can be made online here providing you have visa or mastercard.
All donations will go towards cancer research as well as providing services and supports for people who effected by cancer. Every single donations counts no matter which way you donate.
So please be generous. With your help, there is hope.
Erotica
We got there and to much of our disappointment.. cameras are not allowed. So I had no choice but to get a few pamphlets of stuffs when I was there and use my camera magic to post it on here.
Entrance fee was $25 per person (which was not cheap) but thought to come and see if the show is actually as good as what all the medias bosted about.
Almost 90% of the stalls there were all about sexy lingeries, vibrators, butt plugs, condoms and pornographic movies. Only a few stalls had chains, whips, cuffs etc for those people who are into BDSM (Bondage, Discipline, Sadism, Masochism). To be honest, I was really surprised to see what some people get up to when it comes to sex. What an eye opener!
Anyone wants to perform like a porn star? Give this a go. I don't need it thank you.
We were given a tiny sample of this to try (on our hands) and to our surprise, it was really smooth. Not sure about the rapid fire action..
There were a few International Porn Stars showing off their bodies eg, fake boobs and stuff. I mean I can't tell boobs are really fake or not but alot of them seemed so... firm and spongy at the same time... it really makes me wonder. Not that I know a lot abut boobies anyway...
But there was this male porn star (photo below), my God he has got the biggest dong that I've ever seen! He was very nice, kept his package in his super loose undies but man it looked like there is a snake in the undies! I almost die~
Mr. Big Ding-A-Ling
And of course lots of female porn stars and here is one of them.
There was a live floor show at the main stage when we got there. A professional female stripper all stripped off and dance her body around few chosen audiences on stage like a fish in the sea. Lovely...
Some guys gave us this invitation but regretably we can't attend due to don't like being alternative. But if anyone is interested, please, you know who to contact.
Well overall I don't think it was really worth $25 for the whole 45 minutes that we spent in there but I guess now we experienced it and know what the show was like, we can tell people that we've been there done that. Just a shame that in that whole show, there were no one single stall that was gay oriented... oh so sad... no erotica por moir...
Yes as per above message, call 0800 none-of-your-business to see a list of offers available.

Fresh fresh fresh!
These photos are as fresh as the fish, crayfish that came straight from the ocean to the market.. straight from our camera onto here.
Auckland Fish Market, located at corner Daldy Street and Madden Street, Freemans Bay, is the only market in Auckland that opens seven days selling fresh fish, fruit, veges, delicatessen goods and premium-grade meat. Apart from retail shops, there are plenty of restaurants and cafes offer something for everyone. Auckland's only dedicated seafood cooking school is available upstairs of the premise as well and even better, it has New Zealand's only seafood Dutch auction for trade customers.
Pretending to be a visitor from Uranus, I brought along my camera to the market ready for some new adventures. I was greeted by a warm welcome the first shop I went into. Maybe my disguise as Uranian did work! So I asked if I can get snap happy, and to my delight, the kind owners didn't mind me taking pictures of fish and seafood carcases.
Whole load of crap!
Live clamps
Squid, yum~
Kina, a type of sea urchin that and be found in New Zealand and certain sub-antartic islands
Not sure what's the name of this fish... but nice colour!
Look at the size of these creatures!
Mr. Octopussy
Mussels, and shit loads of them!
The market not only offers live and raw seafood but cut, washed and precooked seafood are available for those people like me who doesn't know how to chop up body parts and don't want to get my finger nails dirty, as well.
Looks nice leh~ like this photo? Click to enlarge
I must be honest that I was so turned on by all these fresh seafood! Oh wait! Not so fast! Check out the price!
I loooove scallops. But with this price, I might just go with mussels...
I haven't had Paua before and wouldn't mind to try but with $55.00 each?! Maybe next time...
These prawns are not cheap but look at the size!
Of course, these few items are the top of the line fresh seafood. But in general, prices are not low compare to supermarkets, though here is the big BUT, these are the freshest seafood in town! Can't really expect much more than that can we?
The market was as busy as ever! People everywhere and queue at the counter was long...
One of the shop owner saw me carrying a camera around and thought I must be the new kid in town so he offered to give me a paua shell, fresh as well of course. So fresh that I can actually feel the flesh of the poor paua that used to reside in this shell..
It was a big shell. Photo shows comparison to $2 coin
Shell so fresh I can smell the ocean...
Close up shot. Click to enlarge if wish to see in details
Paua flesh!! See what I mean by fresh...
After this trip we certainly know where to get fresh seafood from. Oh did I mention that they do have fish and chips (Kiwi favourites) and lots of seafood dishes available at the restaurants there... all prepared with the freshest stuff.
I'm in for fried eels!
