The Telecom Tree

This huge Telecom Christmas Tree is located pretty much opposite Victoria Park Market on Victoria Street West in Auckland City.

The tree stands about 26 metres tall and contains 37,500 lights on the tree. The most amazing thing is the lights on the tree has over 16 million combinations of colours!! And these are only a few of the combinations..

And this is how it looks like when stading under the tree.

There are even a few telephone booths for public to ring Mr. Clause and make their once a year Christmas wish!

Didn't want to miss this golden opportunity, I hopped into the phone booth to make my Christmas wish.

I was all excited!!

Ok~ And 'A' I Pressed

And believe it or not?!! HO HO HO actually came out from the hand set. Followed by Merry Christmas and stuff in a traditional, mature and sexy Santa's voice (whatever that maybe).

Hmm.. What should I wish for?

Hi Santa cutie, blah blah blah blah....

And after I said my wish, I looked up and saw this..

The row of light which hang above the booth were suppose to light up and sent my wish list up to the top of the tree for Santa when the phone hung up, like this..

But mine didn't light up!!! Maybe my wish was not appropriate...

The Christmas Tree was really amazing and some people even brought their picnic chairs and blankets to the venue, sat down relax and be mesmerized by the ever changing combination of colours!!

I wished for world peace...
