Festival of Roses

This is an annual event in Parnell and this year it falls on 9th November. This event will be held at Dove-Myer Robinson Park, best known as Parnell Rose Garden and surrounding venues. It starts at about noon and finish at 6pm.

It features music, poetry, dance, craft and food (FOOD!! Mmm~ food~~). There will be a huge range of talented poets, musicians and dancers on two stages. Highlight acts include:

Sam Hunt (Poet and Performer)
The Mamaku Project (Contemporary Jazz Band with a twist of Pasific, French etc all scramble up)
Hammond Gamble (NZ own Legendary bluesman and songwriter)

Apparently there will be a large number of craft stalls too!!

And the most exciting thing is my best buddy Kelvin, the ultimate Chen Style Tai Chi Quan Master from Shen Yun Tai Ji Quan will be performing his winning form in this event!!

Can't wait to see some Kamehameha (ref Son Goku, Japanese Manga Dragon Ball)

Best part about this event is, it's FREE!!!! We don't get much free stuff nowadays...
