Seven more sleeps to go!!

Company's Sales Conference is just around the corner. It's more like a catch up with colleagues and party hard 4 days event than conference. Not complaining thou. Sometimes it is nice to unwind and relax, specially in tropical Queensland sunny Port Douglas.

Flying off on the 11th October Saturday. We have to be at the airport by about 5.00am as the plane depart Auckland at 7.10am. Bloody early flight I know but I guess that's how we make the most of the trip. We will transit at Brisbane and arrive Cairns at 12.10pm (Ozzie time) then take an hour trip up North to Port Douglas.

Same as last year we will be staying at The Sheraton Mirage Hotel

There is one weird rule for this hotel..

If you read the third point, no togs inside the hotel.. Err.. really? Come on lah common sense. Anyway, moving right along..

Programs are already pre-arranged for us:

11th:
Arrival and settling into hotel in the afternoon. Fancy dress party (dress up as favourite superstar) at night. Dinner function, presentation and stuff. Then dance the night away.

12th:
Group activities (getting to know sales representatives from other part of the country is actually alot of fun). Then possibly free afternoon to do whatever we like. Miller (a type of beer our company sell) Party at night (another boozing session...).

13th:
Activity day. There are a few activities that the company subsidised available for us to participate in or around Port Douglas:

Because I fascinate wildlife, specially creepy crawlies, naturally I chose to visit Hartley Crocodile Adventures. It is cheap and I can spend the whole day taking my own time in that place walk around watching reptiles. Oh apparently they serve crocodile meat at the canteen too! Well really who would want to miss out this golden opportunity to try crocodile meat?! Not me!!

On that night, we will have another party (gosh seems like we just party party party all the time. Oh well, life is short) This time we don't know what the theme is going to be but shirt will be provided when we arrive. It is got to be fun anyway.

14th:
Time to leave Port Douglas. My flight departs Cairns at 6.55am. It means our bus will leave the hotel at 3.55am.. another early morning.. I don't think this will go down too well for many people simply because there will be lots of heavy drinking the night before.. luckily I am not an alcoholic. Flight transit in Sydney before arriving back to Auckland at 5.35pm.

So there it is, the whole four day trip to Oz. Might not sound quite as exciting just yet but I'm sure it will be alot of fun. And the best part of this whole trip is? Free, apart from that Crocodile Adventure thing! Am I complaining? I think not!

Oh and another thing that is worth mentioning is, remember my birthday few years ago? Company gave me a card with a nice surprize prezzy inside.

NZD50.00 Farmers Voucher Card! Not bad leh~ Nice being looked after I must say. Hubby, let's go shopping tomorrow!!
