Busy weekend (pt.2)

Right, where were we? Oh yes, Waitangi Friday.

And Sunday was a big day for us. It was a huge annual gay event held at Coyle Park end of Point Chevalier Road.

Same as all the funfair, they had variety of stalls setup for this gay day.

Ah ha! Spot the gayest stall in town!!

Our dear friend Jeffery and husband outside Long Yang Club's stall. And just for your information, we won first prize for the raffles tickets we bought from the club that day!! Yippee!!

Yup free test anyone?

Perfect day for shave ice.

A stage was setup as well for all the performers

And of course the main highlight of the day was gorgeous men,

Yes, our dear Prime Minister is a handsome man without his plaster cast which sold for $18,500 on Trade Me auction website. Mr Key broke his arm when he fell while exiting from a stage at a Chinese New Year celebration in Auckland last month, and it was covered in some high-profile signatures by the time it was removed. And all of this fund was donated to Fred Hollows Foundation (FHF).

Second highlight, sexy bodies.

Ahh~ body to die for

Man this is 'a bit' too tight I think.. OUCH!!

And of course, drag queens!

Our darling friend Ling (right) and her friend, guy's kinda cute too.

Queen from Wellington came up to join the party.

One thing about being a drag queen, unless you think you are up and have the asset for it, then you are most welcome to go for it. Otherwise, the result won't be as what you are expecting...

See what I mean?

Drag Divas Miss Ribena and Miss Ford was there strutting their stuff

Looks like both of them had a bit too much of Big Mac last night..

One thing I admire about those drag queens are no matter how they look or what people say about them, they don't care. All they want is just to have fun and enjoy themselves. Not many people can do that. Too many people are too busy worry about how other people judge them nowadays and lost alot of opportunity having a good ole joyous gay time. Maybe I am one of those people. Maybe I have to learn to let go by following the drag queens footstep. But don't expect me to be in a drag. I am as butch as ever.

One unusual thing they had in this event was a 12 metre long water slide. In this scorching hot weather, maybe this was not a bad idea at all.

Kids had so much fun on the slide, of course some adults as well. We were there when a funny incident happened. Hopefully the photo below explains:

Still don't get it? A sizable female jumped on the slide, she only went for good 4 metre then came to an halt... photo showed her buddy gave her a hand... it was a hilarious scene!! Good on her for giving it a go. I would never do that. Would have come to a complete halt within 2 metre!!

We stayed for about three hours slowly sipping beer and water quenching our thirst. As more and more people arrived, we decided to call it the day because the heat of weather and heat emitted from all the nice bodies were just too much for us to handle..

And there it was another fabulous day full of colours full of fun!!

Wigs On The Waterfront, a drag and entertainment show held annually at Auckland’s Viaduct Basin, is on this Sunday 22th February.

Come pretty people!! Come join in the fun and have a taste of the fabulousity of this community. Guarantee we won't bite... hard~~
