Long live our sun!!
Received this email this morning:
Coming December 17th 2008..
The sun will rise continuously for 36 hrs(1.5 days). During this time the US countries will be dark for 1.5 days. It will convert 3 days into 2 big days. It will happen once in 2400 yrs. We're very lucky to see this.
To celebrate this special day, I decided to have a pack of M&M Yellow (Colour of the sun!) What la? I haven't had M&M for ages~~ and today is a lucky day!!

Free time? What's that?
My life has been so hectic this few weeks it's not funny. Work and work and work. But in between that I still managed to attend a few events.
Santa Parade
It was the 75th Anniversary Farmers Santa Parade. Held on the 30th November this year.
Queen Street and all the other surrounding streets were jam packed with human being three hours before the event officially kicked off at 2pm.
Tried to find a good spot is hard enough but to wait for another hour for the parade to start under the scorching heat of the sun is another story. But we made it anyway. I guess on that day everyone who managed the heat and the crowd were all qualified to be SM (Superman).
Some die hard goers even risked their precious, maybe unprecious, life to watch this parade. Maybe they were trying to say hi to Santa close up when he flied by on his sleigh later on.
Came 2pm and YES! Men in uniform were here to officially start the parade!!
Siam ji bi (Hokkein, meaning excuse your ass, passing thru)
First up, Farmers Marching Band
Followed by lots and lots of floats, celebrities, cartoon characters etc..
Miss Valerie Villi, Olympic Gold Medallist.
Wannabe future rock star
Nothing better with clowns and balloons
Kung Ho Panda
Young celebrities from some show on TV2
Let's have a ghostly Christmas this year!!

Good to see Ronald McDonald in this parade. And so he should after I invested so much money into his burgers..

Merry Christmas Sir. Don't forget to come down my chimney on Chistmas eve.
The parade lasted for about an hour and a half. Although it was more for children but I found it real entertaining. Hey there is nothing wrong of me being an grown up kid.

Unusual Event
Went down to downtown Auckland City for a stroll on Sunday morning at about 10am and saw this.
We were wondering why the road was blocked at probably one of the busiest street in the city. And I heard this massive noise at the other side of the road block. Out of curiousity, we went closer and guess what we saw?
WAH LAU!!!! Why the heck a chopper doing in the middle of the street in the city!! Is it some special mission for some special arm force?
Looked closer, we found out that the chopper was there to drop of some 'stuff' for the workers who were doing road work so our road works in the future (gee sounds like some kind of ad somewhere..)
Few minutes later when they finished they business, the chopper took off..
Up..
Up...
Up....
Last up.....
And away~~~~
It was incredible to see such a big machine could took off without its horizontal rotor crashed into anything!!
Perhaps I was waiting for some disaster to happen?
Thank God it didn't!!!
